7 Man DANTE Teams Security - SBM Defense Log

7 Man DANTE Teams Security- SEKT Defense Log
                                                                                       by James the Bruce
DOOMSDAY SEKT  unit structure comprised of 7 man teams known as the "Dante"  pronounced  ( dawn-tay) , (3) Dantes equal a Wolf-Pack. A Wolf-Pack has 21 soldiers, when operating out in the field, the first Dante acts as the forward advance lead scout - security team, the second is the main team, that conducts the offensive operation, the third Dante acts as the rear-guard security team, defends the rear, keeps the exit-escape route open and defended, to ensure a way out at all times. When broke down to the single Dante, the same protocol applies, the first two soldiers act as the forward advance lead scout security team. The middle three soldiers act as the main offensive team, the last two soldiers serve as the rear guard- security team, providing a safe and secure exit route.

Point Man Carries Defender Shield - Hand Signs - Breach - Flash Bangs
2 man - Left cover - entrance breach / 3 man- Right cover - entrance breach
4 man -does the breaching- covers center stays back (note: not center of room)- follows - through center upon breach...
5 man Team leader - Communications - relays with Point man via head set, also stays in direct Communication with the 2 other "Dantes" in the Wolf-Pack
6 & 7 man - RG - Rear Guard - secures exit route / counters flanking
- * This is just a scenario, Dante Leader establishes tactical decisions on ground relays with point man - every situation is different must be ready to adapt.

Cross Breach entrance 4- man follows through center after conducting the breach, 3 men charge, instead of 2 show here ! Point man stays at the door entrance (on side) to provide cover with shield, point man throws flash bang.

The "Fatal funnel", this is why the Point man with the Defender Shield is first to approach the door, just in case they shoot through the door.

Point man with Defender shield leads when "Dante" clears corners.
Preference with clearing corners, should be done at a further distance by Sniper cover if possible, behind Point-man's shield cover.
Close quarters combat (CQB) should always be a last resort.
Point man should always be inspecting the areas as they go, to ensure there are no booby traps, trip wires, he must be covered by the number two man at all times, the number two man will be his protection from immediate dangers of CQB, counter attacks, etc., since the point man's attention will be on clearing the path and entrances.
Just as the single Dante acts as a single unit, the 21 Man team the Wolf-Pack, will conduct itself as a larger unit. When there are 3 Wolf-Packs working in collusion the same applies, as a even bigger unit.

Gun Battle CQB

The First rule of a gun battle, is whoever fired the most rounds accurately in the first 30 seconds of a gun battle will win.
#1- Thenceforth we must be pros when it comes to shooting within the 9 ring on the target from different angles & distances.

#2 - We must always take into account that weather conditions can effect the shot; heavy rain will effect distance, wind speed will effect accuracy.

#3 When they get the drop on you, you must first seek cover if you are unarmed.
Must be pros at visualizing where adequate cover protection is and a route to nearest gun for return fire. While safely positioning oneself behind cover, trees and cars are a bad choice, concrete, brick, stone & steel are the best.

#4 Armor is a must for any heavy engagement, body armor and defender shields are a must have. Just like being in a fist fight, you must always cover yer vital areas and head from strikes. Same thing with a gun battle, you cannot not drop yer guard and leave yourself open at anytime, there is no room for errors.

#5 Must never ever get pinned down or cornered, if you do you have already lost the battle. If you are in a gun battle with 2 opponents being cornered in a crossfire is a no win situation. Must always have a exit route & take preventive measures from being out-flanked.

#6 Remember bullets skip, bounce, ricochet, so you must be aware of all openings and don't hug walls or lay flat on concrete surfaces too long. Must be quick and mobile, yet stealth.

#7 Must think of finding good cover constantly for both advance and retreat tactics while in gun battle. Evenly as important as the offensive / defensive strategy.

OBAMA - ISIS GAS / FUEL DEALS

Many Americans are unaware that the ISIS Terrorist Organization has taken control of the Oil Industry in Northeastern Syria and Northern Western Iraq. The day the Russian Jet Fighter was shot down by Turkey's military, the Russian Jet Fighter was racing to intercept an ISIS Oil convoy of tanker trucks. Now that Russia has been trying to target these convoys of stolen Oil, which Fund ISIS. Presiden...t Obama has labelled these tanker trucks as "Civilian Targets" and "Aid Convoys", which should not be targetted by Russia or anyone else. Is this why Obama is now sending in American ground troops? Will they be protecting the ISIS Oil Operations ?

ALTERNATE FOOD SOURCES AFTER SHTF

by James the Bruce

To acquire and maintain a steady dependable food source is very important in any survival situation. We all know you can only last 3 days without water, most preppers and survivalists are already familiar with how to filter water, most common way is to boil it. Soups are a very good method of eating food in the wild, because it takes very little food ingredients to feel full, especially if you have spices. A key barter item for any prepper is a variety of spices. Most common that you should have for bartering are : Ginger, Cinnamon, Oregano, Tumeric, Thyme, Dried Red Peppers, Rosemary.
Salt should always be number one on your list, because it is vital for preserving food.
For the survivalist who plans ahead, for making soups to help with eating bugs, you should have these spices : Ground Cumin, Basil, All-spice / Bay leaves, Paprika, Garlic Powder, Cayenne Pepper, Onion Powder, Thyme.
The three most common and safe to eat insects are : Worms ( dirt must be purged ), Crickets and Grasshoppers ( heads and legs must be removed ). Termites ( most calories of all ). These bugs are easier to eat when they are in a soup with other wild ingredients, such as leaves, weeds, spices.
In a survival situation "Foraging" for a food source is very wise, things most people don't consider eating should never be discarded, you life may depend on it.
Weeds are very good choice, because they are very abundant and can survive harsh conditions.
Most weeds can be eaten in soups as well, edible weeds are but not limited to: Nettle, Dandelion, Dock, Sheep Sorrel, Pigweed/ Amaranth, Chickweed, Lamb's Quarters, Strawberry Blight, Purslane and Plantain. Cooking/ boiling them in soups not only cleans them but burns off any contaminants.

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best, stockpiling spices, seeds and sprouts along with never discarding what can be used later. Malnutrition is deadly, you must always have multiple food sources growing at the same time in addition to hunting for animals, fish, plants, fruits, vegetables, you must also remind yourself of unorthodox ways of food supply. Like "Micro-farming" sprouts, bean sprouts, mushrooms take just a few days to produce, takes a lot, but will make a great filler in soups. Bean sprouts make awesome soups as well. Never forget the various nuts for soups such as : Hazelnuts, beech nuts, acorns, hickory nuts, black walnuts, pine nuts, good source of nutrients.
After the SHTF you may need to hide your food source / supply from others. If you have to grow your food in an underground shelter or hidden inside of a building. Growing food without soil is also wise. Vegetables you can grow and they regrow without soil, all you need is water are : Spring Onion, Garlic, Bok Choy, Carrots, Basil, Celery, Romaine Lettuce, Coriander. You must change out the water everyday with most of these, they require plenty of light as well. If you put a handful of pine needles in a jar or glass of water overnight, minimum of 6 hours, the glass of water will have more Vitamin C than a glass of orange juice. There are plenty of alternative sources of vitamins and minerals, nutrients in the wild, become aware of them and how to identify them correctly.
Misidentification can cost you, your life.

Some of your alternate food sources are :  weeds, plants, nuts, insects / bugs / worms, wild flowers, tree barks, sprouts, mushrooms. Plants don't need soil as long as you can furnish these 5 things :
Food / Water / Light / Air / Support ( support: cotton wadding inside of cork stopper to protect stem ).
- Micro-farming, seed collection and seed storage are vital in alternate food resourcing.
To help assist with plant growth, if you don't have soil these three table scrap items should be horded.
Coffee grounds, banana peels ( skins ) and egg shells, have nitrogen that provides and assists with plant growth.
The key factor in being a prepper is having a survivalist mindset, to be willing to look and find all means of surviving. This includes putting back ( stockpiling ) anything and everything they can assist you and your family in your fight for self preservation and survival.

PROTECTION FROM FALLOUT RADIATION

Radioactive contamination comes from 3 sources: External , Internal , Shrapnel.
External : comes from dust, liquid on clothing, on skin, on hair. 90% of external contamination can be eliminated by removal of clothing, the rest can be removed by vacuum and showering.
Internal : comes from inhalation, digestion, open wounds. Resides in lungs, GI tract, then enters the blood stream.
Shrapnel : metal objects, ceramic objects that puncture the body, can be removed by medical instrument.
The effects of radiation are under two classifications : Deterministic , Stochastic.
Deterministic - is more immediate signs / symptoms, such as hair loss, reddening of the skin, nausea, feeling ill.
Stochastic - is a delayed effect, amount absorbed into human tissue determines, the length of time to take effect on body, short to long term.
Radiation dose - is the Energy ABSORBED by human tissue, NOT the amount exposed to.
After a Nuke detonates 50% of the radiation is in the Blast. 35% is released thru Heat, 5% is Prompt radiation such as Gamma rays, 10% is delivered thru time, in fallout radiation.

2 days after Nuclear blast, the only radiation left in circulation, is fallout radiation, might take form of dust, can remain on ground, contaminates water and livestock and plants, gardens, etc.
Whether or not you survive a nuclear blast can be determined by how close to ground zero you are.
Chances for survival goes up, the further you are from blast. Taking shelter from the initial blast and protection from the heat, is the first step towards survival.
Step two is to protect yourself from the (Prompt radiation) Gamma rays and Beta particles that are soon to follow.
If you see the bright light of the blast you need to close your eyes and cover your ears, holding your mouth open will prevent your lungs and ears from busting upon the shockwave blast.
Blast kills from objects, shrapnel, where the Heat kills from intense heat exposure during the blast.
Protection from both is key to your survival, something as simple as dodging into a concrete stairway or parking garage, or behind a concrete wall, can mean the difference between life and death.
Time is limited, the sooner underground shelter is acquired the better, but however you will remain there for at least 2 weeks, make sure there is a water source, plenty of bottled water, is a priority, you can only last 3 days without water.
Bottom line is if you can take preventive measures if time allows, you can limit yourself from the external and internal contamination the best you can, surviving a nuclear attack is very possible.

In case you don't know, the secret to surviving all forms of radiation exposure is sea salt. If you are concerned about the radiation fallout from the Japan nuclear plants disaster or if you had an X-ray for radiation treatments for cancer, soak your body in sea salt (not iodized table salt) baths to help pull out the radiation from your body.
If you were diagnosed with mouth or throat cancer and you were subjected to deadly radiation treatments gargling with baking soda mixed in water will help neutralize the radiation.
There are other Natural remedies such as Dandelions, apples, sunflower seeds, but for the most part when there is no Potassium iodide available, Sea Salt should be the next choice. To pull the radiation poison out of the body, try bathing in half a cup of sea salt and half a cup of baking soda. Soak for at least 20-30 minutes, every day for several weeks. Always be aware of alternatives that can be used for crucial needs. Failing to prepare is preparing to fail !

DEFENSIVE TACTICS IN A POST APOCALYPSE WORLD

                                                            DEFENSIVE TACTICS
                                                                          by James the Bruce

There are seven classes for concealment and personal camouflaging in a combative environment.
*Shape / Outline          *Movement        *Scent
*Color / Texture          *Noise
*Shine / Flash              *Shadow
Shape / Outline - avoid skylining your body silhouette when ever on scouting or patrolling not just during the day, but even at night time. Even in a open field at night time, the outline of your body can be seen for a great distance, by someone who is at ground level watching, which is a normal fixed position for enemy snipers. When travel at night time be sure you travel at crawl level if traveling into unknown territory, so as to avoid becoming a easy target.
Color / Texture - avoid wearing any bright color clothing, this is why SBM wears darker shade of grey, in some cases charcoal grey is actually harder to see at night than solid black color, as the solid black outlines itself against a lighter dark background.
Shine - avoid wearing shiny watches, belt buckles, even knife blades that are shiny can give away position. In Urban combat situations muzzle blasts from guns can pin point location.
Movement - maintain a lower than usual walk, in hostile environments, crawling is safest, at a lower than "Fire Zone" level.
Noise - avoid traveling with keys jingling, metal rattling, loud talking, sneezing, etc.
Scent - avoid smells and scents like cologne, hand sanitizer, fresh shampooed hair, smoking cigarettes, the smoke will give away your close proximity, even food smells, like eating a bacon sandwich, can give away presence.

Anti-Stealth suit and blanket tactic, with laser pointer, must be in a squat position with laser pointer, start from below "Fire Zone" level gradually sweeping upwards up to the top of the "Fire Zone" level which is 6ft. Most incoming approach from someone wearing a Stealth suit will be at least crawl level. Using the reverse"Skylining" method for laser sweeping a field or street, is the best way to detect someone who might be crawling in their approach. Who is wearing a Stealth suit, or behind a Stealth blanket.

When defending a home or a building the "Fire Zone" combative tactics are still to be applied and considered into your planning. Getting above or remaining below the Fire zone is a top priority for a greater survival chances, in avoiding enemy fire.
Some of the inside planning should include "Rafter Works" which is creating a quick entrance and quick escape to and from the attic or second floor, through the use of a ladder or ladders. If no ladder is available, the 2X4's in the walls can be stripped out and nailed together to make ladders.
Getting above the Fire zone has many advantages, as well as surprise return fire position.
The use of dummy positions is also a priority, somethings to draw enemy fire away from your true position in the room or building.
The use of "Buffer zones" should also be applied, this would be a additional room between you and the entry way, that you can build a barrier of sandbags behind a wall in another room in the house, but still maintain your visual of the front door / entry way.
The use of "Loopholes" in the attic to fire down through, as not to give away your position as quick in the ceiling. Loopholes can be used as sniper positions in or outside return firing positions.

Buffer zones that are set up in other rooms and upper rooms should have extra protected and unconventional means of entrance and exit, than doors for example, all doors should always be booby trapped. Holes in the floor are preferred choice for alternative means of entrance / exit.
Firing Loopholes should be made not just for external firing positions but internal inside the buildings as well. Firing upon enemy combatants in the hallway or coming down through the roof top, which will be the enemy's most common entrance point for large buildings.
Firing loopholes can be made for roof top positions to defend from rappelling drops.
As a part of your Post Apocalyptic crew's bag of tools should be pioneering tools for engineering such supportive positions. Like hammers, sledge hammers, drills, axes, saws, pry bars, wire cutters and bolt cutters, nails and wood screws. As barriers and fortified defensive positions will call for barb wire to barricade stairways, elevators, hallways, rooftops. Sandbags can be used for protective shielding from enemy fire. Also the use of water and water buckets should be considered for cooling off gun barrels after prolong use, might mean the difference in a barrel melting or warping it's shape.
Quick response to putting out the unexpected fires, that are common in combative situations, such as Molotov cocktails, flash bangs that can ignite other ammo and combustible materials, etc.
When defending a building or a home, if it is necessary to fire from a window, no other choice, you must avoid silhouetting your body outline in the window. The use of dark colored blankets, curtains, canvas, anything to put behind you as to avoid a lighter shade being behind you will help keep your position camouflaged. Never fire close to the window, this will also reveal your position, stand back at least 4 to 5 ft. from window, so even the muzzle blast from your guns will not be seen.
It is preferred however to use "Firing Loopholes" instead of windows, all the time.
Remember when moving past windows always duck and or crawl as to avoid being seen. When looking around corners if no equipment is available use a mirror, get down as low as you can to avoid "Fire Zone". For the new modern Urban combat tactics the use of Video Snakes are now common, to peek around corners, into other rooms, through windows, to spot enemy combatants and other dangers such as booby traps.

"The future of urban warfare in the resistance movement, depends on how well the resistance can repel assaults from attack helicopters." - James the Bruce

For the attack helicopters are the Government's ultimate response to a successful resistance in the urban combat setting. Quick in and out and heavy cover to shield from attack helicopters, 30mm rounds. Being aware of long range Snipers with 50 caliber rifles, must also be taken into consideration.

READINESS PREP DRILLS

                                                       READINESS PREP DRILLS
                                                                                              by James the Bruce
( Disclaimer : It is not required or forced upon anyone to do these timed drills, extreme caution should be used while conducting any type of exercise or drill, we do not encourage anyone to conduct these exercises, you are acting alone and except full responsibility for your own actions if you. I James the Bruce nor Southern Brotherhood Militia do not accept any responsibility this article is just for educational purposes only.)

Form > Follows > Function, you cannot be truly prepared unless you have actually practiced the plans to be set into motion upon a crisis event.
Most crucial part of "Prepping" is to be mentally and physically prepared to face panic situations.
To have multiple backup plans in place for possible set backs at every turn.
Family Day Wednesdays are the ideal time to practice, plan and prepare, with the whole family, extended family and even multiple family households who you know and can trust, to be included as a part of your family, for safety in numbers, but for a larger group(s)  there will be more time delays.
Plan out and practice different crisis scenarios. Such as Storms : Tornadoes, hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, etc. Power outages for long periods of time, EMP attack, nuclear attack, foreign Army invasion, civil unrest such as riots. Determine at your location and distance from the city or where ever you may live if there is anything that could pose as a danger or might be a target for terrorists, enemy foreign nations, such as power plants, nuclear plants of facilities, military bases or production facilities, large population areas. Then determine how much time you would have to respond for each scenario. For the crisis event to reach your home or neighborhood.
For each scenario there must be a set time of expectation for each crisis event to reach your area, such as ground zero for a nuclear attack, how far are you from the large population center or base, how much time would it take for the blast and gamma / beta rays to reach you and your family.
Calculate the speed / rate of travel of the identified threat(s) versus the distance it must travel to reach your area or community.
Timed test drills - figure out how much time it would take for these multiple households to come together at the designated Point of Rendezvous ( PR ). Will a secondary designated safety zone or safe house be need at a PR further out away from the city into the countryside.
Factors to be considered for each scenario are rather or not Underground shelter be needed or not.
In cases where Underground shelter will be needed are :
                                                                                            Tornadoes
                                                                                             Nuclear attack
                                                                                              War ( bombings )
                                                                                                Biological- Chemical attacks
Cases where Underground shelter may not be needed are :
                                                                                              Riots - Civil unrest
                                                                                               Epidemics - plagues, deadly virus
                                                                                                Storms - flooding
                                                                                                 Power outages

Staying put, where you are at such as your home, may sometimes be the wiser thing to do for various reasons. Such as you already have underground bunker, well fortified protection around your home, well built basement will large storage with large supply of food and water. You have good water resources available, that are from a reliable source.
If you are unable to determine where or what kind of threat is coming, or what direction it is coming from, it would not be wise to step out, just yet.
Timed test drills with the family each family member must be assigned roles, make it clear to them, that if and when a life and death situation ( crisis event ) that might arise, in order for everyone to survive they must do their part. They need to know how they must react and how they are evacuate from their normal daily routine, no matter where they are at the time they are alerted.
The family or families involved must take the planning, preparing and exercise drills seriously.
In order to figure out how much time it would take for multiple families to come together at the designated PR. It must first be determined on a single family household unit. Because it depends on each family member and how long it would take them to return home, which is the first PR ( Point of Rendezvous ).
One way to figure out how much time it would take them to return home during a normal day, would be to have each family member involved in the timed test drill, to wear a wrist watch with an alarm.
Set their alarms for a specific time, synchronize their watches to all go off at the exact same time, during the day of planned drill. Have them note where their exact locations are at the time the alarm goes off, determine, how much time from that point they would have to return home. If they are not at their normal location that they usually are in their normal day to day routine, make note and take it into consideration with your calculations.
Figure out ways to make short cuts by using shorter routes, such as streets and roads that would be short cuts, and off the main streets and roads that would be jammed with traffic if such crisis events did occur. Try to determine for each family member what can be done to shorten the time it takes for them to return home safely, without rushing. During these timed drills, normal speed and taken during reaction time must be strictly applied. Even in the crisis event, rushing and speeding may cause an accident, this will not only reduce return home time, they may not be able to return home at all, if they are not cautious every step of the way. ( SO PLEASE NO RACING OR SPEEDING )
Next, order all family members to stay put once they make it home, the home being the first Point of Rendezvous (PR). If someone leaves after they returned home, then it will be assumed by the others who return home, that they never made, when they may be out looking for them, if everyone is out looking for everyone is, all has been lost. So everyone must go directly home and stay put.
If someone doesn't return home, then only after the majority make it home, then it will be decided by the head of the household, if there is to be a search / rescue attempt, if there is one, then everyone else is to remain home just in case they do arrive later.
Each and every family member must be made aware of the "Family First" mindset, and they must agree to it. That there maybe personal consequences for delays, in reaction time, in crisis events.
Example : Don't try to look for friends to save before you head home or anything like personal material items ( belongings ) you want to save that are far away from their present location, before they head home.
The additional time will take them the save their personal belongings or best friend, may be the time needed to make a successful evacuation. They must beat the clock when it comes to evacuation, it's only a matter of minutes before the streets become packed with crowds other people trying to evacuate. Plus the time wasted might prevent the family as a whole from making their overall escape / evacuation, to a secondary location or safe zone / safe house.
Also back up plans must be made in the event the main organizer / head of household is unable to return home, for the others to go ahead with their main evacuation goals. These are known as Plan B drills, when the main lead or head of household is unable to be present.
Also the main roads and highways must be counted out as a route of evacuation, they more than likely will be jammed with traffic, so all back roads and dirt roads, must be looked at and studied as an escape route to a secondary PR location.
The difference between Lone Wolves and Wolf-Pack's role(s) during the crisis event will vary as well. Since the Lone Wolf is acting alone or the family household is reacting as a single unit, evacuation to a secondary safe zone, may not be always necessary, versus the Wolf-Pack household, where other households may have it planned to come together at a PR location set as a safety zone for a much larger group of people, to be organized at. In the case of the Wolf-Pack, where you have multiple family units coming together, the time will be extended and delayed because there are more family members involved and their chances of returning home to their first PR, more than likely will be interrupted. More families involved more chances of reduced reaction time, the risks are greater when more people are involved.
There is also the factor involved what if others in the community show up who are not invited, as planned, there will be additional food needed, because they will expect you to share your food, that you have already put back just for your family, calculated to be there for a length of designated time for only your family. There will be many set backs, that must be considered, in a crisis event.
We must be willing to be adaptable but sensible about the way we need to handle a crisis event step by step, we only get one chance to survive, each mistake might cost someone their life, or might even cost everyone's lives.
Note: In the past the secondary PR location that we have used was generally a camp site at the closest State Park. Where you can set up a secure perimeter and pitch a tent or multiple tents.
